GE-UTE training center was founded by the donation campaigns and contributing alumni. The center is located at C Block of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and equipped with the latest technologies for power supply systems, control and distribution network. The equipments include the complete electrical equipment, integrated with a supply system, control and protection of power that apply in industrial, commercial and consumer products.

These devices were funded by GE's businesses coordinate with each other, in which GE Industrial Solutions provided the 24kV medium voltage distribution board medium, dry transformers, motor control center (MCC), 5000A, 1600A low voltage distribution boards, Busway system, control and automation equipments, the suitcases equipment for practical modules, inverters, soft starters and electric motors... GE Digital Energy provides equipment protection relays, measurement and monitoring power system. GE Lighting provides LED luminaries and lighting equipment... All equipments are worth about 1.2 million US dollars.


I. Functions of the GE-UTE training center

* Improve the understanding and knowledge for lecturers, graduate students and students about the principles of operation, the functions of devices on the actual power grid.
* Improve the quality of practice teaching relate to power supply.
* Approach to technical modeling and simulation of power supply systems.
* The place to scientific research for lecturers, Ph.D. candidate and students, and also, it is the place to re-training for technical staff working related areas of power supply, in industrial areas export processing zones, the power company, the branch power company...
