In order to upgrade research competence, the Renewable Energy & Power System Lab is established in 2014. The lab is located at C Block. Its mission is to organize and experiment the research projects in lightning (surge effects and arresters), research renewable energy systems (solar photovoltaic simulation system, maximum power point tracking of solar photovoltaic and wind turbine, synchronization of renewable energy systems with power grid), collect measurement data of renewable energy system, and perform power system simulations in professional software. The Lab is supplied compact components from Germany (DeLorenzo) and Europe.
In addition, the Lab is also equipped the professional devices such as thermal imagers, flue gas analysis instruments, ultrasonic leak detectors, data loggers with functions of energy audit in industry.
With modern facilities system, the Lab is a workplace for Ph.D. students and Masters students, lecturers, students who perform their research projects in power system, contribute scientific papers to domestic and international reputed journals and conferences.
