1. Introduction
Power Electronics Lab is located at Room D505 of Block D of the HCMC University of Technology and Education. The Lab was established and equipped with power electronic devices and their controllers for undergraduate educational purpose and scientific research for lecturers and students. The lab covers the very wide range of modules of power electronics with the new and innovative technologies that are the leading edge of advances being made in the course for the control of electric power with power electronic devices such as rectifiers, AC – AC converters, DC – DC converters, inverters, variable frequency drivers and their applications.

3. Typical work activities
The lab is involved in a variety of laboratory-based investigations within electrical power converters, their controllers and applications. The students and researchers carry out:
• Testing the power semiconductors such as diode, thyristor, TRIAC, BJT, MOSFET, IGBT, GTO,…
• Measuring and analyzing of results with reliable and precise data of power electronics converters such as rectifiers, AC – AC converters, DC – DC converters, inverters, variable frequency drivers and their controllers.
• Designing and implementing the practical applications of power electronics converters for project works;
• Working with the advancement and development of modern high-tech controllers for postgraduates;
• Researching and developing scientific analysis and investigation of power electronic converters
