Department of Industrial Electronics - Biomedical Engineering, formerly known as Electronics Engineering (EE), Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE). The EE department has experienced lecturers in teaching and research, the department annually trains about 200 Electronics engineers who are qualified human resources to society and may contribute largely for the development of the country. Directions in development of the department are Industrial Electronics, Home Electronics and Biomedical Electronics. Students of the department have the ability to design systems and to create machine products in order to serve in industry and family. In particular, the engineers could build home intelligent control devices, programs for control of industrial machines, applications in mobile phones, systems for fall identity, smart electric wheelchairs, home biomedical devices and bio-signal and –image processing for healthcare.
